About Katelin Reeser + RSV

I am a lover of nature, a photographer, thru hiker, and metalsmith. My designs are inspired by natural forms and experiences on my lengthy nature treks. The works are sculptural + bold yet delicate to signify a balance that exists in the natural world.

Rock Salt Vintage began as an assemblage of found and vintage materials. The brand quickly evolved to represent handmade jewelry created with natural stones and ethically sourced + recycled metals.

All RSV pieces are designed and created by hand in my Cincinnati, Ohio home studio.

I studied fine arts with a focus in photography and immediately after graduating I knew something was missing- I wanted to create work with my hands. For the next year, jewelry making was a hobby where I could casually learn and experiment. Over the past 10 years, I’ve taught myself many methods of fabrication, including metalsmithing, which is the primary skill I use in my work today. Metalsmithing as an artistic outlet keeps me excited about making work because there are always new processes to learn and endless designs to create. I love that metals can be repurposed, recycled and created into something new time and time again.
