Brass, bronze and sterling silver will oxidize over time to create a lovely aged patina.  To slow the aging of your piece keep away from water and exposure to humidity. When not wearing, store in a dry place free of moisture, such as a sealed plastic bag.  If you prefer to bring a brighter shine back to your piece, simply use a gentle pre-treated jewelry polishing cloth, polishing solution or household products such as gentle dish soap and warm water.  Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
